We now have the website listed under a more noticeable web url. "www.ciworks.co.cc". The old url still works, you can just find the website easier with this url. If you google ciworks it's about the 7th result down on the first page! Yay for us! So enjoy the shortcuts:

The original url: http://kaselr.freeownhost.com/ciworks/home.html
The new url: http://www.ciworks.co.cc
Or Google ciworks: http://www.ciworks.co.cc

Error 1 is now fixed! The images preload before the site loads the buttons. Although it was quite the task, and I didn't use javascript like I said I would, (I used css), but it's done and working! Sorry for anyone trying to access the site while I was fiddling with the code because the buttons did temporarily disappear; sorry...=^^;= But not all the pages have the new script. So that is the next task at hand. It won't take long and most of you probably won't notice the changes as they occur. These repairs will not put the site out of order so you can still use the site while it's being edited!
As for Error 2, it is pending validation on whether or not it should be fixed.

That's all for now!

Edit: It took about 20 minutes to edit all pages. So all pages now have the preload script in them.

 Manga: Pretty Face
« Result #4 on Jun 8, 2008, 8:30pm »

I just finished reading it early this morning before sleeping.

It's about when this guy gets in a horrible accident that defaces him. Since there was only a picture of the girl he loved in his pocket, he got her face and was mistaken for her long lost twin sister. Since his family moved away, he decides to take the place of the missing twin until he can find the real one.

Review: This manga is hilarious and at the same time is also very sweet. The main character was really awesome and the other characters are quite interesting as well. It's very good at linking things so that events aren't forgotten. The ending was a bit vague, and left up to the readers imagination, but still, it was very interesting how it all came together. Overall, it was a good read and I enjoyed it.

Chapter 4 is up and chapter 5 has been started. I'm not quite sure I like how chapter 5 is going so far, so it may take some time for me to write the rest. =^^;=

 Manga: Absolute Boyfriend
« Result #7 on Jun 8, 2008, 3:12am »

It's a girly manga. Rikko runs into a guy who gives her a mysterious website where you can purchase a boyfriend. She decides to give it a try and upon the next day receives what she ordered. Due to all the features she added to her "boyfriend", she is now in debt to the company and has to help her boyfriend gain more data on girls.

Review: This series was hilarious and at the same time, very touching. The last volume just recently came out and I found the ending, although somewhat vague, still good and surprising. I really liked this manga. I must say that it has quickly become one of my favorites. :D

 Anime: Solty Rei
« Result #8 on Jun 8, 2008, 3:06am »

It's about an android girl, Solty, that doesn't remember who she is. In this world, there is resemble technology to replace body parts. Resemble can replace almost anything. Solty is 100% resemble. She decides she wants to tag along with a hunter named Roy Revant. Other characters soon join the storyline as the anime unfolds.

Review: Well, it's kind of odd in the beginning, but about half way through, I just got sucked into it. I really liked the ending, it was touching in a way. I didn't care for the filler/extra story episodes because they were at the end. I think that could have been better ordered as a filler in the middle somewhere, but oh well. Still, I thought the series was good.

Okay, so you may have noticed that there is a new layout. It's about the third layout the site has been through. Since it's no longer just me, I thought it might be nice to update how the site goes.

I know it looks like a lot of tables because that is the standard of what most programs use to build websites. So, since I made the layout myself from scratch, I decided to make it less complicated and not use tables. Instead to separate everything, I used divisions. For the buttons, I used a javascript code. Lastly, the graphics were done in Photoshop. The new favicon was made through the web utilities links on the website.

I kept some of the css from the old layout, but I did change it around quite a bit. The layout is friendly to both internet explorer and firefox browsers. The only difference is that when viewing the site in internet explorer the scrollbar has color.

What's new about this layout? Well, there's less links so it's not so confusing on the first glance. I placed everyone's works under their names so that it's easier to navigate. All the other links that aren't directly linked with the website are in the links area. That means all the other comics and helpful sites for website building are in the links area. Hope you enjoy it and let us know what you think!

Some Errors that I'll need to tend to later:

Error 1:
The buttons, there's nothing wrong with them really, but it takes a while for them to load. So I will use javascript to pre-load the images.

Error 2:
Most of you probably wouldn't notice, but the sound from troublesome shadows is missing. I accidentally took out the music code I had placed in there. Oh well, I'll fix that with time as well. No biggie.

Okay, next two pages have been contemplated and scribbled on a stickie note that is blue and a quarter of the next page is done. All it needs is one more frame, pen outline of the whole page, neat boxes and words; doesn't sound so bad does it? Unfortunately, college will make you wait =^^=
